Calm has a body too.

Sometimes it appears after we have passed through too many things. The world is still there —sky, water, distance— but it has lost its urgency.

She raises a hand to her head. The horizon passes through her body without dividing it. For an instant, everything seems to have found the exact measure of its weight.

Perhaps serenity is simply this: nothing ceases to exist, yet nothing demands an answer anymore.
